Cox Communications engaged OnCampus Advertising (OCA) to help promote their bundled cable and internet packages to college students. Timing was important. Cox wanted to reach students as they returned to campus each fall and were focused on setting up their dorm rooms.
Cox decided to use out-of-home (OOH) displays to broadly reach the entire student population with their messaging. Leveraging our campus OOH database covering over 500 university campuses, the OnCampus team designed a back-to-campus campaign to raise awareness of Cox, its student bundled packages and encourage student activations. The campaign included 7 campuses and over 350 university-specific OOH transit and kiosk displays and reached over 200,000 students during the month-long campaign. Cox repeated the campaign the following two years.
